This set is wonderful. This has been a great talk article at our home. The knives are the best we have ever had. The knives are one piece. No plastic material or wooden handles with a blade. These are all steel handles with a blade, and they are sharp. Utilizing the boning knife was a piece a cake deboning a 12 lb turkey, took less than 10 minutes. We really put away our other knives and this set is our primary one for the home. The knife holder is amazing. My mom loves it. It will always get a response and start a conversation. Lionel, the family's go-to-guy for everything, is scared of it. I guess he thinks it is some form of voodoo talisman. Ha! Everyone comments on the knife holder when visiting my mom's kitchen. She is so proud of her new gift.
I privately like the simple set-up and the knife sheaths. The knife sheaths are excellent since they protect the knives and no one will accidentally get injure. Produced from hard plastic, but there are magnets within each knife storage area that hold the blades. Great Set.
